QC Healthcare has entered a collaboration with Sanguina to implement AI-based blood health technologies across its digital healthcare platforms in the US.
The agreement will see Sanguina’s non-invasive screening tools, which use fingernail analysis to provide insights on blood health, integrated into QC Healthcare’s network of virtual care services.

The initial phase of the partnership will focus on the My Pediatric Doctor and My Adult Doctor telehealth services, which provide 24/7 urgent and primary care nationwide.
QC Healthcare and Sanguina plan to extend these capabilities to other platforms, including My Oncology Doctor and My VA Doctor, at a later stage.
Sanguina’s technology enables screening for anaemia and circulatory concerns by using videos of patients’ fingernails to gather digital biomarkers.
The Circulation Score generated by this tool measures the speed at which blood returns to the fingertips after pressure is released, a process clinicians have traditionally performed at the bedside to assess peripheral perfusion.
Delivered remotely, this scoring system offers additional information to telehealth practitioners during patient assessments, but is not intended as a standalone diagnostic tool or substitute for laboratory results, physical examination, or emergency care.
By embedding these AI-driven tools in its digital workflows, QC Healthcare expects to help identify potential health issues related to blood earlier in patients and streamline their connection to appropriate clinical care options.

The deployment of these screening features in My Pediatric Doctor and My Adult Doctor will be followed by consideration of further integration into other QC Healthcare services.
