Sonitor Technologies has expanded its Sense platform with the launch of the new SonitorBLU Bluetooth low-energy (BLE) solution and SonitorMOBILE location visibility platform.
SonitorBLU is designed for applications where zonal accuracy is needed while SonitorMOBILE helps to position smart devices.
Sonitor’s ultrasound technology can be incorporated with BLE to offer better accuracy, helping to transform a smartphone into a real-time location system tag.
The company is displaying its products at the ongoing HIMSS Global Health Conference in Chicago, US.
Sonitor North America CEO and chief commercial officer Matt Crane said: “Sonitor is excited to invite healthcare providers, technology partners and all HIMSS attendees to our booth where we will be showcasing the SonitorBLU, Sonitor Sense and SonitorMOBILE suite of products.
“In addition, we have recently expanded our team of clinical and technology experts to customise Sonitor’s solutions to meet customers’ strategic objectives and budgets.”
SonitorBLU will serve as an easy-to-install platform for hospitals to address use cases such as asset tracking when near real-time data flow is sufficient.
SonitorMOBILE integrates the company’s SonitorULE patented ultrasound technology and BLE to offer centimetre-level accuracy with refresh rates of 1-2 seconds to “move at the speed of a nurse,” for demanding use cases.
Designed to offer a tiered approach to the problems faced by healthcare providers, Sonitor’s new portfolio can be used in asset tracking and applications where speed and accuracy are required, such as patient flow and clinical workflow.
The new products, which help address the critical need to ensure staff safety, provide advanced analytics for workflow insights.
They also offer appropriate staffing assignments to increase hospital capacity besides enhancing patient and staff satisfaction.
