Biostrap USA has introduced the new wearable Biostrap Kairos device for stress resilience measurement and insights into heart rate variability (HRV).

Biostrap offers a data visualisation of the autonomic nervous system, accompanied by the innovative Vital Science app, for quantifying the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches from a wrist-worn device.

The device features a modular design, which enables it to easily position on the forearm or bicep.

Kairos leverages a metal-oxide-semiconductor optical sensor for capturing raw photoplethysmography (PPG) data and computing several biometrics.

The biometrics include respiratory rate, active and resting heart rate, beat-to-beat intervals, HRV and sleep-related parameters with better accuracy.

The company has committed to delivering nervous system analysis through transparent biometric measurements, such as the new Spot Check feature.

Biostrap offers real-time visualisation of the underlying PPG signal, from which biometrics, signal quality and R-R intervals are derived.

It provides untethered access to all data points collected through the Vital Science app, a remote monitoring dashboard, APIs or SDKs.

Biostrap CEO and co-founder Sameer Sontakey said: “Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to create this cutting-edge culmination of hardware and software that positions Biostrap as the leader in quantifying clinical-grade HRV parameters and providing researchers and health-tech visionaries invaluable insights into their patients' and clients' autonomic nervous system like never before.”

Biostrap provides scalable and customisable biosensor-based health monitoring solutions for researchers and visionaries.
