While researchers and drug developers have made several efforts to develop effective treatments for glioblastoma (GBM), the standard of care (SoC) has remained stagnant in this indication for years due to its aggressiveness and the difficulty in getting therapies past the blood-brain barrier.

However, some new approaches are currently in varying stages of development in this aggressive form of brain cancer, which could see the treatment paradigm shift for the first time in decades.
