The top five companies accounted for 18% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that Abbott Laboratories filed the most cybersecurity patents within the medical industry in Q1 2024. The company filed 26 cybersecurity-related patents in the quarter, compared with 5 in the previous quarter. It was followed by I-Sens with 18 cybersecurity patent filings, Samsung Group (16 filings), and Johnson & Johnson (16 filings) in Q1 2024.
