Veeva Systems has announced that its Veeva Vault QMS was used by VentilatorChallengeUK to boost ventilator production. The consortium of companies from different sectors in the UK is working to meet the demand for additional ventilators to aid Covid-19 patients.
Royal Philips has launched mobile Intensive Care Units (ICUs) to meet patient’s needs in India amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Each unit can accommodate nine beds and will be locally produced. Philips expects that each unit will be deployed in one day. India is currently the third-most affected country in the world with regard to the confirmed cases.

LabCorp has launched the LabCorp At Home COVID-19 Test Collection Service, the first digital service to aid doctors in testing patients for Covid-19 before surgeries. The service received US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) on 1 July. The company plans to initially pilot the service with select providers and will make it more widely available to further health systems, hospitals, and surgical centres in the future.
