Medical diagnostic tests developer Inova Diagnostics has introduced a rapid-response chemiluminescent analyser with Quanta Flash reagents for autoimmune disease diagnostic testing.
The Bio-Flash analyser, which uses chemiluminescent technology, is designed for use in clinical reference and hospital laboratories to provide full automation of a broad menu of highly accurate Quanta Flash immunoassays for autoimmunity testing.

Bio-Flash and the Quanta Flash reagents, which are classified as moderately complex under the Clinical Laboratories Improvements Act (CLIA), generate first result in as little as 30 minutes, with additional results produced at a rate of one-per-minute thereafter.
The analyser also offers other benefits including an increased analytical measuring range, onboard dilution and stored calibration.
A comprehensive menu of Quanta Flash reagents is also available, including tests to aid in the diagnosis of celiac disease, vasculitis, antiphospholipid syndrome and connective tissue diseases, according to the company.
Alberta Research and Innovation Authority chairman and University of Calgary professor of medicine and Arthritis Society Research chair Dr Marvin Fritzler said Bio-Flash has dramatically enhanced the workflow and decreased turnaround times for autoantibody testing at his laboratory.
