Portrait VSM represents the next evolution of the DINAMAP legacy and leverages the SuperSTAT non-invasive blood pressure algorithm for precise measurements.

The portable vital signs monitor boasts wireless connectivity and seamless electronic medical record integration, tailored to enhance user workflows.

It offers customised early warning scores (EWS) to help care teams automate routine tasks, allowing them to concentrate on patient care.

Portrait VSM, when used in conjunction with Portrait Mobile, the latest wireless and wearable continuous monitoring solution, enables seamless integration of patient data in one unified workflow.

It reduces the steps required to capture and chart a complete set of vital sign measurements by automatically importing patient demographic data and a snapshot of continuously monitored data such as respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and pulse rate, with a single click of the barcode scanner.

The integration of connected workflows and EMR is aimed at enabling accurate vital sign charting and eliminating delays from manual data entry. This supports clinicians in making timely and confident treatment decisions.

GE HealthCare monitoring solutions general manager Neal Sandy said: “We remain focused on tackling healthcare’s biggest challenges and driving further efficiencies for care teams through new patient monitoring technology.

“With the addition of Portrait VSM, we are excited about this next step for the Portrait Ecosystem that was designed to support the right level of patient monitoring in observational care through a single, unified workflow.”

The Reimagining Better Health study by GE HealthCare showcased the challenges clinicians face with manual data entry and access, with nearly half reporting that medical technologies at their facilities do not integrate seamlessly.

This latest device aims to alleviate these challenges by offering workflow efficiencies and capabilities that support hospitals and care teams in recognising early signs of patient deterioration, facilitating timely interventions, and reducing manual calculations and transcription.
