Guardian Flex is the company’s smallest device so far, offering features designed to support independence and help users stay connected.

The device was developed following a large-scale research effort involving feedback from more than 10,000 members, caregivers and prospective customers.
Medical Guardian states that these insights drove the focus on form factor, comfort, and adaptability.
According to the company’s research, nearly three-quarters of surveyed individuals live alone, and more than half reported a fall within the past year.
Respondents also highlighted a preference for wearable technology that promotes natural use and connections with loved ones, beyond simply offering emergency assistance.
Guardian Flex can be worn on the wrist, around the neck, or clipped to a belt and is 30% smaller than the company’s previous-generation model.
It features interchangeable accessories with a quick-release system that does not require tools or re-pairing.
The wearable has been engineered with a streamlined, low-profile design and is available in gold, silver, and black finishes.
It offers 24/7 emergency monitoring based in the US, 4G LTE cellular connectivity, integrated GPS location, and two-way voice communication.
The device also features advanced fall detection technology, but some falls may go unnoticed. Users are advised to press the help button if they need assistance.
Additional specifications include up to five days of battery life and IP67 water resistance.
Guardians Flex’s features also extend to connectivity, with real-time notifications for designated loved ones, a function to help locate misplaced devices, and a mobile app providing battery status, signal strength, and activity updates.
Medical Guardian founder and CEO Geoff Gross said: “For more than two decades, Medical Guardian has been committed to helping older adults live safely and independently.
“In listening to thousands of members and caregivers, we heard a consistent message: protection should fit naturally into everyday life, not define it.
“Guardian Flex was designed around that belief: smaller, lighter and more adaptable, designed around how people live. Because ultimately, the best protection is the protection people choose to wear every day.”
