PixCell Medical has entered the Canadian market through a new distribution agreement with Inter Medico, following the granting of a Class III Medical Device License from Health Canada for its HemoScreen point-of-care haematology analyser.
The announcement follows recent Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) certification for PixCell Medical’s technology, permitting healthcare providers across Canada to use HemoScreen for complete blood count (CBC) testing closer to patients.

HemoScreen is designed to support near-patient haematology diagnostics by enabling rapid, laboratory-quality CBC results from a single drop of venous or capillary blood.
The analyser integrates AI-based digital imaging and PixCell Medical’s proprietary Viscoelastic Focusing technology within a disposable cartridge.
The system requires no maintenance, calibration, or external reagents, and it generates no liquid waste.
It is targeted for use in settings such as hospitals, community clinics, oncology centres, and remote healthcare sites where traditional laboratory analysers may not be feasible.
PixCell Medical positions the launch of HemoScreen as a response to growing demand for decentralised diagnostic solutions.

In November 2024, PixCell Medical received a CE mark for HemoScreen under the EU’s In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Regulation (IVDR).
