US-based medical device manufacturer Bionix has introduced its ReadyHub procedure staging system as the latest component of the OneLight procedural line, aiming to standardise room preparation and streamline routine ear and nose interventions.

The system expands the OneLight platform from procedural illumination into clinical staging.

Supplies for the platform, which include the ReadyHub procedure staging system and procedure preparation cards, will be accessible via Bionix distribution partners.

The staging setup incorporates Bionix Clinical Education, compatible lighted tools with one rechargeable light source, procedure preparation cards, the ReadyHub procedure staging system, and visual stocking cues to help clinical staff arrange instruments consistently and retrieve essential items during appointments.

Bionix president and CEO Chris Becker said: “Innovation starts with identifying a problem, and the problem we kept hearing from clinicians wasn’t the procedure itself. It was everything that went into preparing: finding the right tools, setting up the room and having the coding details close at hand.

“When we introduced OneLight, we envisioned a system that could grow alongside the realities of patient care. ReadyHub is the next step in that vision, helping healthcare teams stay prepared, work more consistently and deliver care when patients need it.”

According to Bionix, clinical teams often manage varied patient requirements within congested schedules, and preparation times can conflict with patient care when staging relies on personal habits rather than uniform procedures.

The ReadyHub system is intended for multiple healthcare environments, encompassing audiology, emergency departments, geriatrics, long-term care, otolaryngology (ENT), paediatrics, primary care, and urgent care facilities.

Bionix workflow adviser Owen Dahl said: “Too many procedural workflows depend on individual knowledge rather than a process the entire team can follow.

“The OneLight ReadyHub gives practices a practical way to bring greater consistency to procedure preparation and support. This launch represents an important step toward making procedural readiness more repeatable, teachable and sustainable.”

The OneLight platform originated by combining illumination with common instruments for ENT treatments, relying on a single rechargeable light source across compatible tools to simplify device management and maintain visual clarity.
