In a $10.5m cash deal, Kelpac Medical, a medical packaging and tubing solutions provider and a subsidiary of PPC Industries, has acquired medical device contract manufacturer, Xeridiem Medical Devices, from Fenner.
The acquisition gives the acquirer access to specialty products offered by Xeridiem, including liquid injection moulding, silicone extrusive and silicone device assembly, which will be offered to its new and existing customers.

Danaher Corporation, a global science and technology innovator, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Copper Merger Sub, has agreed to acquire California-based molecular diagnostics company, Cepheid, for approximately $4bn.
Pursuant to the definitive agreement, Copper Merger Sub will be merged with and into Cepheid, which will become a wholly-owned subsidiary and part of Danaher’s $5bn Diagnostics segment.
The acquisition will allow Danaher to expand and secure a strong position in molecular diagnostics segment.
