A partnership between the Harley Street Healthcare Group Canada (HSHG) and Canon Medical Systems Canada intends to bring state-of-the-art technology to five new integrated community diagnostic centres across Ontario, Canada. These ‘Centres of Excellence’ will increase patient capacity in the diagnostic space, collaborate with public healthcare systems in Ontario to alleviate pressure on acute hospital sites, and increase patient access to innovative technologies.
The HSHG aims to reinvent the future of healthcare by establishing a proactive and preventive medicine ecosystem focused on disease prevention and health promotion. It has more than 33 years of healthcare experience across cities in the UK and has a mission to combine modern medicine with advances in health tech to diagnose health conditions earlier, faster and more accurately. By partnering with Canon, a global leader in diagnostic imaging, the duo has the capacity to provide Ontarians with the latest medical imaging solutions and invest in advancements such as artificial intelligence (AI) enabled care, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) systems, and robotics.
The first forward-thinking community diagnostic centre is planned to open in Ottawa by December this year with an embedded wellness centre. The HSHG intends to make Ottawa its research and development (R&D) hub focused on longevity and wellness, and has launched a private-public partnership with The Ottawa Hospital for primary care and diagnostic imaging revenue. The HSHG is also working with partners to develop a robust technology platform to deliver a complete healthcare assistant: empowering patients with integrated patient data, improving access to healthcare services, and integrating healthcare management into daily life.
With three healthcare-related business acquisitions in Ottawa and partnerships with The Ottawa Hospital and Canon, HSHG Canada is poised to begin transforming Canadian healthcare and supporting individuals at every step of their healthcare journey. Canada’s diagnostic imaging market is expected to be valued at $744m in 2025, with Canon Medical Systems being one of the top four players in the space (behind GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthineers and Philips Healthcare).
