Wipak’s very latest forming film, SC PA, is ideal for bulky and voluminous items. It facilitates usage of 10%-30% thinner packaging depending on the application. State-of-the-art water-quenching technology combines the outstanding mechanical properties of conventional blown co-extrusion with the clarity and transparency of a cast coextruded films. These properties together, with easiness and fastness of forming, suggest that a new era in medical device packaging has begun.
SC PA has been developed for more advanced packaging of bulky or voluminous products with sharp corners or edges. All ten layers of this film give a special pin-hole resistance, which is highly critical with the most demanding medical device applications.
SC PA films can be used for sterilisation by EO and irradiation. It is available in thicknesses ranging from 100µm-270µm.
