India medical industry registered a 20.5% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 11.22% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 32.45% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 2.61% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in India medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India medical industry in July 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 85.01% in July 2021, a 92.56% growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 4.31% share, an increase of 10.53% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 3.9%, registering a flat growth from June 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 3.7%, up 80% over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in India IT recruitment activity in July 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 195.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India medical industry during July 2021 over June 2021.

Danaher posted 95 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 126.19% over the previous month, followed by Medtronic with 83 jobs and a 388.24% growth. GE Healthcare with 77 IT jobs and Sartorius with 41 jobs, recorded a 285% growth and a 355.56% increase, respectively, while Alcon recorded a 39.13% an increase with 32 job postings during July 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.36%, up by 104% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 38.4% share, a growth of 43.85% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.03% share, up 91.3% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.21%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
