From 29 May to 4 June, 393 companies worldwide posted 12,492 medtech jobs, according to the GlobalData jobs analytics tool.
Getinge posted the most jobs, advertising for 1,416 roles. It was followed by Maquet Holding, which posted 1,105 jobs and Bausch Health Companies, which posted 1,030 jobs.

Getinge has launched a new framework for social financing and a new social bond of SEK 570 million (€56.6m). HD Medical appoints new chief medical officer
On 2 June, leading artificial intelligence (AI) and cardiovascular device company HD Medical announced it had appointed Shaun Setty as its chief medical officer. Setty is a cardiothoracic surgeon who played a key role in the launch of HD Medical’s flagship product HD Steth, a US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared intelligent stethoscope that integrates electrocardiogram and phonocardiogram into one device.
Setty has over 13 years of experience in paediatric and adult congenital heart surgery. He is triple-board certified in surgery, thoracic surgery and congenital heart surgery, with experience in all aspects of cardiac surgery. He also has experience in robotic and transplant surgery and is currently involved in multiple basic and clinical cardiac research projects.
