Ireland-based company Medtronic’s IT hiring rose 1.5% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.53% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed an 11.44% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 1.43% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Medtronic IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Medtronic, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 53.48% in August 2021, and a 25.93% drop over July 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 24.06% in August 2021, and registered growth of 9.76%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.02% in August 2021, a 15.38% rise from July 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Medtronic
North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 59.36% share, which marked a 46.05% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 21.39%, registering a 53.49% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 14.44% share and a 30.77% drop over July 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 3.21% and a month-on-month decline of 14.29%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.6%, registering a 25% drop over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 57.22% share in August 2021, a 44.59% growth over July 2021. India featured next with a 16.04% share, down 63.86% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 4.28% share, a decline of 42.86% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Medtronic IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 49.2%, down by 6.12% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 33.16% share, a growth of 5.08% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 17.65% share, down 40% over July 2021.
