July 2021 has seen an increase of 10.95% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 6.64% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 0.2% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 39.82% in July 2021, a 4.65% growth over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 26.55% in July 2021, marking an 114.29% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.73% in July 2021, an 8.33% drop from June 2021.

Top five medical companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 25% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s medical industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Stryker posted 50 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 2.04% over the previous month, followed by Arjo with 14 jobs and a flat growth. Getinge with 13 IT jobs and Abbott Laboratories with 4 jobs, recorded a 44.44% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Medtronic recorded a 33.33% decline with 4 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 51.33% share in July 2021, a 7.41% rise over June 2021. Jamaica featured next with a 26.55% share, up 233.33% over the previous month. Costa Rica recorded an 8.85% share, a drop of 28.57% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.03%, up by 32.2% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.24% share, a growth of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.73% share, down 42.11% over June 2021.
