Of these devices, five are in active development, while the remaining two are in an inactive stage of development. There are two products in the early stages of development, and the remaining three are in the late stages of development.

Endoscopy Devices are used to examine internal organs for diagnosis of diseases. A hysteroscope is a thin, tube-like instrument with a camera and light at one end. It is inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix during hysteroscopy. A hysteroscopic fluid management system is used to control the flow of fluid during hysteroscopy. A Hysteroscope consists of camera that sends images to a video monitor, which allows the surgeon to see inside the uterus. The hysteroscopic fluid management system consists of the reservoir that holds the fluid, the pump which circulates the fluid, and the tubing that delivers the fluid to the surgical field. The system is used to irrigate the surgical field, remove blood and other fluids, and maintain pressure in the uterus. The distal end of the hysteroscope is passed through the cervical canal into the uterine cavity. Hysteroscopy can be either diagnostic or operative. This market includes rigid and flexible hysteroscopes. Rigid Hysteroscopes have an endoscope sheath within which the optical components such as prisms and lenses are aligned to form a lens system for visualization of the uterus. Flexible Hysteroscopes have a tip that deflects over a range of angles. A Hysteroscopic Fluid Management system consists of hysteroscopy pump (suction irrigation pump), fluid monitoring console, reusable and disposables tubing sets, reusable and disposable jars, stand and calibration kit. Hysteroscopy pump is the major component of the hysteroscopy fluid management system.

Innovations in the medical devices sector are linked to the development of new approaches, processes, or technologies for treating, diagnosing, and managing disease in response to demand from healthcare for better patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
