The value marked an increase of 20.2% over the previous month of $1.29bn and a rise of 3.3% when compared with the last 12-month average of $1.5bn.

North America held a 65.96% share of the global medical devices industry venture financing deal value that totalled $2.35bn in February 2022. With a 64.68% share and deals worth $1.52bn, the US was the top country in North America’s venture financing deal value across medical devices industry.

In terms of venture financing deal activity, North America recorded 74 deals during February 2022, marking an increase of 1.37% over the previous month and a drop of 2.63% over the 12-month average. The US recorded 73 deals during the month.
