US-based company Abbott Laboratories IT hiring rose 16.6% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 24.95% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 7.37% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.12% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Abbott Laboratories IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Abbott Laboratories, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 61.69% in September 2021, and a 50.79% rise over August 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 8.44% in September 2021, and registered a decline of 48%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 8.44% in September 2021, an 8.33% rise from August 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Abbott Laboratories
North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 68.18% share, which marked a 10.53% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 16.23%, registering a 7.41% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 13.64% share and a 5% rise over August 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.3% and a month-on-month flat growth. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.65%, registering an 80% drop over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 68.18% share in September 2021, a 14.13% growth over August 2021. India featured next with a 5.19% share, up 14.29% over the previous month. China recorded a 5.19% share, an increase of 700% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Abbott Laboratories IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.94%, down by 5.66% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25.32% share, a growth of 62.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.09% share, down 26.32% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.65%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
