China’s medical industry registered an 11.2% drop in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 7.43% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.4% share in December 2021, recording a decrease of 0.35% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.46% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 70.77% in December 2021, registering a 41.77% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 15.38% share, an increase of 66.67% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.69%, registering a 66.67% rise from November 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 3.08%, down 80% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 24.32% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
Sartorius posted 15 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a drop of 25% over the previous month, followed by Danaher with 14 jobs and a 40% growth. GE Healthcare with 12 IT jobs and Thermo Fisher Scientific with 11 jobs, recorded a 9.09% growth and a 50% decrease, respectively, while PerkinElmer recorded a decline of 63.64% with 4 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.46%, down by 38.55% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.46% share, registered an increase of 9.09% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.08% share, down 77.78% over November 2021.
