China’s medical industry registered a 1.9% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.3% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.56% share in July 2022, recording an increase of 0.41% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.57% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 50% in July 2022, registering a 7.89% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.71% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 17.14%, registering a 7.69% decline from June 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.86%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five medical companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 33.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s medical industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Thermo Fisher Scientific posted 17 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 34.62% over the previous month, followed by Medtronic with 13 jobs and a flat growth. Insight Lifetech with 6 IT jobs and Danaher with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 20% decrease, respectively, while Dentsply Sirona recorded an increase of 100% with 4 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.14%, up by 5.88% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.71% share, registered an increase of 57.14% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 7.14% share, down 37.5% over June 2022.
