Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in August 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 47.54% in August 2022, a 31.36% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 19.88% in August 2022, marking a 1.02% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 14.34% in August 2022, a 68.18% drop from July 2022.

Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 17.37% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Demant posted 64 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a decline of 30.43% over the previous month, followed by Arjo with 61 jobs and a 258.82% growth. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 53 IT jobs and Danaher with 25 jobs, recorded a 6% rise and a 19.05% rise, respectively, while Abbott Laboratories recorded a 100% increase with 20 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 27.25% share in August 2022, an 18.4% decrease over July 2022. The UK featured next with a 21.11% share, down 65.55% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 13.11% share, a drop of 32.63% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.23%, down by 40.76% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 13.11% share, registered a decline of 39.05% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10.45% share, down 22.73% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.2%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
