Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 11.4% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during December 2021 over previous month.

Sonova posted 190 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a decline of 12.04% over the previous month, followed by Demant with 122 jobs and an 11.59% drop. Arjo with 66 IT jobs and Sartorius with 57 jobs, recorded a 2.94% drop and a 22.97% drop, respectively, while Sarstedt AGKG recorded a 2.08% decline with 47 job postings during December 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 29.28% share in December 2021, a 0.62% decrease over November 2021. Switzerland featured next with an 18.5% share, down 12.82% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 13.15% share, a growth of 11.54% compared with November 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.8%, down by 8.75% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.69% share, registered a decline of 11.18% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.51% share, up 2.76% over November 2021.
