Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 60.24% in May 2022, a 6.13% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 14.96% in May 2022, marking a 23.23% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 9.25% in May 2022, a 39.74% drop from April 2022.

Top five medical companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 19.7% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during May 2022 over previous month.
Sonova posted 115 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a decline of 0.86% over the previous month, followed by Demant with 48 jobs and a 152.63% growth. Arjo with 31 IT jobs and Ambu with 22 jobs, recorded a 72.22% rise and a 450% rise, respectively, while Sartorius recorded a 48.78% decline with 21 job postings during May 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 21.06% share in May 2022, a 27.21% decrease over April 2022. Switzerland featured next with a 20.67% share, down 9.48% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 16.73% share, a drop of 38.85% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.38%, down by 19.17% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.39% share, registered a growth of 6.25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.24% share, flat growth over April 2022.
