Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in October 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 60.08% in October 2021, a 24.75% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 15% in October 2021, marking a 24.79% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 10.03% in October 2021, a 23.48% drop from September 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 16.94% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s medical industry during October 2021 over previous month.
Sonova posted 132 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a decline of 26.67% over the previous month, followed by Demant with 103 jobs and a 12.71% drop. medi GmbHKG with 65 IT jobs and Sartorius with 57 jobs, recorded a 14.47% drop and a 67.65% rise, respectively, while Arjo recorded a 40.79% decline with 45 job postings during October 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s medical industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 27.81% share in October 2021, a 23.08% decrease over September 2021. Switzerland featured next with a 14.7% share, down 14.45% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 13.11% share, a drop of 24.14% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.6%, down by 17.13% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.49% share, registered a decline of 24.27% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.91% share, down 8.45% over September 2021.
