Germany’s medical industry registered a 2.6% drop in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.1% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.3% share in December 2021, recording a decrease of 0.08% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.76% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 55.73% in December 2021, registering a 10% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 20.43% share, a decrease of 12% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.69%, registering a 2.38% decline from November 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 6.5%, up 23.53% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 8.49% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s medical industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
Sarstedt AGKG posted 47 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a drop of 2.08% over the previous month, followed by medi GmbHKG with 44 jobs and a 30.16% drop. Carl Zeiss with 43 IT jobs and Arjo with 38 jobs, recorded an 86.96% growth and a 24% decrease, respectively, while Sartorius recorded a decline of 21.43% with 22 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.54%, up by 1% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 21.05% share, registered a decline of 5.56% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.41% share, flat growth over November 2021.
