India’s medical industry registered a 4.2% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.5% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 31.4% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.96% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 83.51% in March 2022, registering a 9.38% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 4.86% share, an increase of 80% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 4.59%, registering a 39.29% decline from February 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.32%, down 20% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 3.23% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
GE Healthcare posted 119 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 1.65% over the previous month. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 40 IT jobs and Demant with 37 jobs, recorded a 2.44% decline and a 27.59% growth, respectively, while William Demant Holding recorded an increase of 27.59% with 37 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 49.46%, down by 10.73% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 41.62% share, registered a decline of 8.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.38% share, down 18.42% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.54%, recording a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
