India’s medical industry registered a 7.1% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.4% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 30.33% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 3.32% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 80.1% in October 2021, registering a 0.31% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 5.97% share, a decrease of 11.11% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.47%, registering an 8.33% decline from September 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 4.98%, down 9.09% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 7.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s medical industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Medtronic posted 62 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 29.17% over the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 54 jobs and a 6.9% drop. Demant with 44 IT jobs and Danaher with 40 jobs, recorded a 12.82% growth and a 47.37% decrease, respectively, while athenahealth recorded an increase of 9.38% with 35 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.21%, up by 15.84% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 33.08% share, registered a decline of 24.86% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.71% share, up 16.67% over September 2021.
