Malaysia’s medical industry registered a 14.5% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.69% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.31% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.96% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Malaysia’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Malaysia’s medical industry in August 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 50% in August 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 21.43% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 14.29%, registering a 100% rise from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 7.14%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in Malaysia’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 266.67% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Malaysia’s medical industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Edwards Lifesciences posted 4 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 300% over the previous month, followed by Teleflex with 2 jobs and a flat growth. Abbott Laboratories with 2 IT jobs and Bruker with 2 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Cochlear recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.57%, up by 57.14% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 14.29% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.14% share, flat growth over July 2022.
