Ireland-based company Medtronic’s IT hiring rose 6.8% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0.59% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 12.6% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 0.98% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Medtronic IT hiring in October 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Medtronic, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 59.91% in October 2021, and a 12.4% rise over September 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 21.59% in October 2021, and registered growth of 6.52%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 9.25% in October 2021, a 10.53% rise from September 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Medtronic

North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 51.54% share, which marked a 3.54% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 27.75%, registering a 14.55% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 13.22% share and a 3.23% drop over September 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 6.17% and a month-on-month increase of 75%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.32%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 50.66% share in October 2021, a 2.68% growth over September 2021. India featured next with a 27.31% share, up 29.17% over the previous month. Israel recorded a 4.85% share, an increase of 37.5% compared with September 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Medtronic IT hiring activity in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.54%, up by 30% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 32.16% share, a decline of 8.75% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 16.3% share, down 5.13% over September 2021.
