October 2021 has seen an increase of 1.62% in the overall hiring activity when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 13.54% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in October 2021, registering an increase of 0.83% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in October 2021

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 65.12% in October 2021, a 75% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 13.95% in October 2021, marking a 50% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 9.3% in October 2021, a 300% rise from September 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 190.91% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s medical industry during October 2021 over previous month.

Medtronic posted 14 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered an increase of 75% over the previous month, followed by GE Healthcare with 8 jobs and a flat growth. Hill Rom with 4 IT jobs and MyHeritage with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Healthy io recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during October 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s medical industry

Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 62.79% share in October 2021, a 50% increase over September 2021. Egypt featured next with a 6.98% share, flat growth over the previous month. Saudi Arabia recorded a 6.98% share, a growth of 200% compared with September 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.44%, up by 61.11% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.6% share, registered a growth of 300% compared with the previous month.
