Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 56.19% in May 2022, a 2.29% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 13.39% in May 2022, marking a 2.4% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 8.99% in May 2022, a 3.38% drop from April 2022.

Top five medical companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 88.19% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s medical industry during May 2022 over previous month.
Align Technology posted 142 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Intuitive Surgical with 106 jobs and a flat growth. Becton Dickinson and with 88 IT jobs and Sonova with 73 jobs, recorded a 10% rise and a 29.81% drop, respectively, while Abbott Laboratories recorded a 1.43% decline with 69 job postings during May 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s medical industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 95.1% share in May 2022, a 0.66% decrease over April 2022. Canada featured next with a 3.52% share, down 31.71% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 1.38% share, a growth of 120% compared with April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.78%, down by 0.31% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.63% share, registered a growth of 10.59% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.59% share, down 16.5% over April 2022.
