Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 52.17% in July 2022, a 6.81% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 12.69% in July 2022, marking a 19.92% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 12.57% in July 2022, a 44.76% drop from June 2022.

Top five medical companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 11.16% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s medical industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Medtronic posted 161 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Thermo Fisher Scientific with 129 jobs and a 37.07% drop. Laboratoryof America Holdings with 81 IT jobs and Sonova with 75 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.04% drop, respectively, while Koninklijke Philips recorded a 4% increase with 52 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s medical industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 94.52% share in July 2022, a 17.3% decrease over June 2022. Canada featured next with a 3.75% share, down 14.86% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 1.73% share, a growth of 16% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.78%, down by 23.55% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.06% share, registered a growth of 2.28% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.09% share, down 13.29% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.06%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
