February 2022 has seen a decrease of 2.99% in the overall hiring activity when compared with January 2022.

IT jobs accounted for an 8.93% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in February 2022, registering an increase of 0.59% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 58.25% in February 2022, a 1.22% rise over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 11.53% in February 2022, marking a 53.74% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 9.25% in February 2022, a 12.58% drop from January 2022.

Top five medical companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 17.15% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s medical industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Intelerad Medical Systems posted 174 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered an increase of 357.89% over the previous month, followed by Thermo Fisher Scientific with 172 jobs and a 3.91% drop. Becton Dickinson and with 158 IT jobs and Sonova with 145 jobs, recorded a 9.72% rise and a 29.27% drop, respectively, while Baxter International recorded a 32.26% increase with 123 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s medical industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 95.02% share in February 2022, a 2.65% increase over January 2022. Canada featured next with a 3.68% share, down 2.78% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 1.3% share, a drop of 7.5% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.38%, down by 1.15% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 22.36% share, registered a decline of 5.62% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.91% share, up 28.51% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.35%, recording a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
