Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in August 2022
Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 33.33% in August 2022, an 8.33% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 25.64% in August 2022, marking a 65.52% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 20.51% in August 2022, a 33.33% rise from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 4.55% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s medical industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Abbott Laboratories posted 8 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 700% over the previous month, followed by Koninklijke Philips with 5 jobs and a 64.29% drop. Medtronic with 4 IT jobs and Smith & Nephew with 3 jobs, recorded a 33.33% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Danaher recorded a 200% increase with 3 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 30.77% share in August 2022, a 53.85% decrease over July 2022. Colombia featured next with a 23.08% share, up 28.57% over the previous month. Peru recorded a 15.38% share, a flat growth compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.49%, down by 22.5% from July 2022. Entry Level positions with a 15.38% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 5.13% share, down 50% over July 2022.
