South & Central America witnessed an 8.7% rise in IT hiring activity in the medical industry in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics dashboard.
July 2022 has seen a decrease of 10% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for an 8.19% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering an increase of 1.34% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 57.14% in July 2022, a 33.33% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 20.41% in July 2022, marking an 11.11% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 10.2% in July 2022, a 28.57% drop from June 2022.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 8.16% in July 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 41.18% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s medical industry during July 2022 over previous month.
Koninklijke Philips posted 6 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Hinge Health with 5 jobs and a 66.67% growth. AlayaCare with 5 IT jobs and BioClinica Inc with 4 jobs, recorded a 150% rise and a 20% drop, respectively, while Boston Scientific recorded a 300% increase with 4 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s medical industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 42.86% share in July 2022, a 61.54% increase over June 2022. Costa Rica featured next with a 28.57% share, down 12.5% over the previous month. Colombia recorded a 14.29% share, a growth of 40% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.63%, up by 37.93% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 10.2% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.16% share, flat growth over June 2022.
