The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 12.78% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 10.43% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2021, and recorded a 0.58% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring in December 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 62.56% in December 2021, and a 34.2% drop over November 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 12.81% in December 2021, and registered a decline of 21.21%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.32% in December 2021, a 37.5% drop from November 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Thermo Fisher Scientific
North America emerged as the leading region in the global medical IT hiring activity in December 2021 with a 46.31% share, which marked a 43.03% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 30.05%, registering a 35.79% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 22.66% share and a 17.86% drop over November 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.99% and a month-on-month increase of 100%.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 44.83% share in December 2021, a 38.93% decline over November 2021. India featured next with a 15.76% share, down 36% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 6.4% share, a decline of 23.53% compared with November 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Thermo Fisher Scientific IT hiring activity in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.53%, down by 30.32% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.2% share, a decline of 41.43% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.27% share, down 50.79% over November 2021.
