The UK’s medical industry registered a 5.8% drop in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.71% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.9% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.47% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.76% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 58.39% in March 2022, registering a 31.39% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 16.77% share, a decrease of 35.71% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 14.91%, registering a 41.18% rise from February 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.59%, down 35.71% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20.24% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
System C Healthcare posted 35 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 25% over the previous month, followed by Arjo with 13 jobs and a 69.77% drop. Acteon Group with 7 IT jobs and Randox Laboratories with 6 jobs, recorded a 40% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Oxford Nanopore Technologies recorded an increase of 200% with 6 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.08%, down by 24.48% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.63% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.29% share, down 8% over February 2022.
