The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.44% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the medical industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.2% share in May 2022, recording an increase of 1.09% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s medical industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.13% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 45.79% in May 2022, registering a 19.67% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 20.56% share, a decrease of 47.62% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 15.89%, registering a 46.88% decline from April 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.15%, up 333.33% over the previous month.
Top five medical companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 32.91% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s medical industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
Arjo posted 22 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Randox Laboratories with 10 jobs and a 400% growth. Intelerad Medical Systems with 9 IT jobs and Sonova with 6 jobs, recorded an 88% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Illumina recorded an increase of 200% with 6 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.75%, down by 50.38% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.56% share, registered an increase of 633.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 18.69% share, up 53.85% over April 2022.
