AK Medical Holdings intends to raise between HK$415m ($53.11m) and HK$500m ($63.99m) in gross proceeds through an initial public offering (IPO) of 250 million shares of its common stock.

Priced between HK$1.66 ($0.21) and HK$2 ($0.26) a share, the IPO will generate the funds required to construct a new production facility in Changzhou, China.

Headquartered in China, AK Medical Holdings manufactures artificial orthopaedic joints.

StemRad Ltd has secured $6m funding in a series C venture financing round led by Jeff Vinik.

The funds are intended to be used towards research and development (R&D) into developing a lightweight safety vest for radiologists, who currently face ergonomic problems due to X-ray aprons.

Visiomed Group SA has raised gross proceeds of €2.56m ($3.03m) through the private placement of shares of its common stock to institutional investors.

The transaction involved the private placement of 2,721,490 shares at a price of €0.94 ($1.11) a share.

European investors led the private placement by subscribing for shares worth €2.33m ($2.76m), followed by an institutional investor from the US, who subscribed for shares worth €0.32m ($0.38m).

Bioderm Inc has signed an agreement to distribute the former’s portfolio of urinary management devices in the US and Canada with Medline Industries Inc.

Medline intends to bolster its position in the urological devices market through the agreement.

Bioderm’s portfolio of urinary management devices includes male external catheters Men’s Liberty Acute and Men’s Liberty, CathGrip universal securement options, an adhesive remover called FreeDerm, BioPlus Prep Wipe, and KindKlamp Penile Clamp.
