Luxembourg-based life sciences company Eurofins Scientific SE has raised €299m ($347.06m) through the private placement of 550,000 shares priced at €543 ($630.28) each.

The company plans to use the funds to carry out potential acquisitions.

Sonic Healthcare Ltd has completed the private placement of 2% notes due 2032 and 2024 to raise €85m ($99.87m) and €75m ($88.12m), respectively.

The Australian healthcare company plans to use the funds towards refinancing its expiring bank debt facilities.

Arthrosurface Inc has acquired acellular dermal stabilisation device technology from Wasas LLC.

The acquisition will enable Arthrosurface to use the technology for clinical applications in multiple therapeutic areas.

Arthrosurface is an orthopaedic company based in the US, while Wasas is a medical device company also based in the US.

US-based healthcare technology company VitalConnect Inc has secured an additional $5m through a fourth and final Series C venture financing round led by MVM Life Science Partners LLP and Baxter Ventures.

The company plans to use the funds towards the nation-wide launch of its platform and VitalPatch wearable biosensor.

Riverfield Inc has secured JPY1.15bn ($10.08m) in a venture financing round led by Toray Engineering Co Ltd.

Robotic technology developer, Toray Engineering, plans to advance the development of its surgical robot with the funds.
