LogicMark has launched the Guardian Alert 911 Plus, a medical alert device that offers 4G long-term evolution (LTE) technology and fall detection to assist the elderly and those with medical conditions.
With its “small” size, the device makes it less intrusive for daily wear. Its built-in fall detection feature automatically contacts emergency services if the wearer falls and cannot press the button themselves.
The technology claims to detect sudden movements and ensures users are protected 24/7 without the need for a subscription service.
Its 4G LTE mobile technology ensures connectivity anywhere within the cellular network, extending protection beyond the home. This offers a critical level of independence and comfort for ageing adults.
The device offers two-way voice communication without the need for a mobile phone, and up to six days of battery life. It is also water-resistant, and users can expect over-the-air updates for device improvements.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in four adults over the age of 65 falls every year, highlighting the importance of reliable fall detection in medical alert systems.
LogicMark is focused on offering personal emergency response systems (PERS) and health communication devices.
LogicMark CEO Chia-Lin Simmons said: “We continue executing our strategy to expand our footprint in the care economy, with products that are easy to use and available to a broad range of consumers. The product launch represents another step forward in our mission to provide compassionate, forward-thinking solutions.
“As we continue to innovate, we reinforce our leadership in delivering software and hardware solutions that combine cutting-edge technology with a deep commitment to improving lives.”
Last November, the company launched Freedom Alert Max, a new fall detection and patient monitoring device to support vulnerable seniors.
