Heraeus Medical Components has signed an agreement to acquire Evergreen Medical Technologies and its subsidiary PhysioTest.

The acquisition will strengthen Heraeus Medical’s position in the market by combining its high-volume global manufacturing and distribution expertise with Evergreen Medical Technologies’ neuromodulation engineering expertise.

The acquisition will also help Heraeus Medical provide a wide range of neuromodulation solutions to its medical device customers.

Heraeus is a medical solution provider, while Evergreen is a medical technology company. Both companies are based in the US.

NxStage Medical has announced shareholder approval for the previously announced merger agreement signed with Fresenius Medical Care.

Fresenius will acquire NxStage through its wholly owned subsidiary under the agreement.

Upon completion of the merger, NxStage stockholders will be eligible to receive $30 in cash for each common stock share of the company held by them.

The merger is expected to be completed this year, subject to additional customary closing conditions.

Based in Germany, Fresenius is a healthcare company, while NxStage is a medical device company based in the US.

Switchback Medical has acquired Kiefer Manufacturing for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will deliver manufacturing capabilities to Switchback and strengthen its approach towards medical device design. It will also enable the company to provide a more customised experience starting from conceptualisation, design and final product development.

Switchback is a medical device service provider. Kiefer Manufacturing is a medical device manufacturing company. Both companies are US-based.

Cirtec Medical has acquired Cactus Semiconductor with the aim of broadening its implantable device platform.

The acquisition will allow the companies to deliver complete solutions to medical devices customers.

Cirtec is a medical device design and contract manufacturing services provider, while Cactus Semiconductor is a designer and developer of analogue and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Both companies are based in the US.
