National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) has partnered with Gene Solutions to boost multi-cancer early detection (MCED) in Malaysia.
Formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MOU), this collaboration is focused on enhancing awareness and improving access to MCED testing in the country.
The partnership was signed at the National Cancer Congress Malaysia 2024, marking a significant step towards transforming cancer detection and elevating early diagnosis rates nationwide.
By integrating NCSM’s network with Gene Solutions’ MCED technology, the initiative aims to raise awareness about the critical role of early cancer detection and extend testing accessibility to a wider demographic.
The collaboration will concentrate on several pivotal areas, including awareness campaigns to inform the public about MCED testing benefits and availability, and community outreach programmes to disseminate information and resources.
Other key focus areas of the partnership are strategies to make MCED tests more accessible, and joint research projects to evaluate the effectiveness of the testing in Malaysia.
