INNOVA Medical Ophthalmics, an ophthalmic instruments distributor based in Canada, has been acquired by Lombart Instrument, a similar distributor in the US.

INNOVA Medical Ophthalmics, an ophthalmic instruments distributor based in Canada, has been acquired by Lombart Instrument, a similar distributor in the US.

INNOVA is a biggest independent distributor of ophthalmic instruments providing services to ophthalmologists and optometrists primarily in Canada, with sales in the US, Mexico and abroad.

The acquisition enables Lombart to strengthen its product sales and technical service throughout North America, as well as expand into eye care-specific sectors.

Laborie Medical Technologies, a medical device developer specialising in pelvic health and gastroenterology, has acquired Andromeda Medizinische Systems, an urodynamic product developer based in Germany.

The acquisition is a part of Laborie’s global growth strategy and enables it to extend its urodynamic product offering in Germany and other European countries by leveraging Andromeda’s complementing urodynamic product offering.
