Fujifilm Sonosite has expanded its point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) product portfolio with the introduction of the new Sonosite ST system to support procedural workflows.

The POCUS system features a new 21-inch all-touchscreen interface and a large 10” by 7.5” image area, auto steep needle profiling and automated setting optimisation for each exam type.

It provides optimised exam types for procedures guided by POCUS, including joint injections in musculoskeletal care, vascular access in emergency medicine and nerve block administration in regional anaesthesia

Proceduralists will be able to access suitable exam types for their procedures quickly with this system and simplify their workflow.

Furthermore, the system features the same transducers that are found in Sonosite PX and Sonosite LX for supporting compatibility across systems.

The ultrasound transducers undergo a drop test from one metre and the work surface is sealed to the edge to make cleaning and disinfection easier.
