Siemens Healthineers and Tower Health have entered a “Value Partnership”, aiming to enhance technology, equipment and patient clinical experiences.

The ten-year partnership focuses on standardising and managing the lifecycle of Tower Health's imaging equipment.

This strategic alliance is set to offer enhancements in diagnostic imaging and digital intelligence tools within Tower Health’s radiology, oncology, and cardiology departments.

The upgrade includes Siemens Healthineers equipment such as magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, computed tomography, and Varian radiation-oncology therapies, propelling the healthcare network to “system-wide standardisation” and improved capacity.

Furthermore, the partnership grants access to a suite of digital automation tools.

These include Siemens’ algorithms, which standardise clinical operations, “simplify” the process of reporting, and offer stable data for cardiovascular imaging, thereby aiding in transforming data and analytics to “actionable” insights.

Tower Health CEO and president Michael Stern said: “This partnership extends beyond merely upgrading equipment; it empowers Tower Health and our staff to uphold our dedication to clinical excellence and innovation, ensuring the delivery of smarter, faster, and more connected care to our patients and the communities we serve for years to come.

“We are proud to establish a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers, granting us access to state-of-the-art technology during the next decade. Such strategic partnerships are crucial for securing our enduring success, our dedication to pioneering advancements, and our exceptional clinical standards.”

Siemens Healthineers describes Value Partnerships as long-term, comprehensive collaborations with healthcare providers.

These partnerships aim to generate value for patient treatment and decrease operational complexity.

Tower Health is a regional integrated healthcare system with nearly 11,500 employees and comprises multiple hospitals in the US such as Phoenixville Hospital, Pottstown Hospital, Reading Hospital in West Reading, and St Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, in collaboration with Drexel University.

In February, Siemens Healthineers and Sectra announced a collaboration to streamline radiologists’ diagnostic workflows.
