Clarius Phased Array (PA) HD  (high-definition) ultrasound scanner is the wireless, app-based handheld scanner developed by Canada-based Clarius Mobile Health to provide bedside high-definition ultrasound cardiac imaging.

Equipped with piezo-electric crystal and octal beamforming technology, the device offers eight times faster frame rates compared to conventional hospital ultrasound systems.

Clarius PA HD ultra-portable wireless scanner is also suitable for lung ultrasound, FAST exams, abdominal imaging, bladder, superficial, obstetrics and gynaecology (OB / GYN) assessments.

The scanner is complete with Clarius Ultrasound App 7.3.0, downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app is compatible with both iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

Clarius PA HD handheld ultrasound scanner is a compact, IPX-rated and waterproof device for cleaning and easy infection control, enabling doctors to easily examine and monitor Covid-19 patients.

It includes a package of cardiovascular measurements and a Pulsed Wave Doppler for quick diagnosis of cardiac conditions.

The device’s non-subscription pricing provides unrestricted cloud storage and image management for unlimited users, a three-year warranty and forever-free software upgrades.

Clarius PA HD scanner comes with free access to the HIPPA-compliant Clarius Cloud for convenient media management, limitless storage and billing reports, allowing the user to save photos either on the device or on the Cloud. There is also an alternative to connect to any DICOM-compliant server.

The Cloud has an integrated, customisable PDF tool which makes it easier to print, archive, and to share, and support professional billing and reports.

The scanner weighs 368g and its dimensions are 166x78x38mm. The frequency range of the Clarius PA HD scanner is between 1-5MHz while its maximum depth is 40cm.

To prevent cross-contamination, the device comes with a variety of probe covers including latex-free ultrasound CIVCO covers, sterile safersonic cover and invasive or non-invasive sheathing probe cover kit.

Powered by a replaceable and rechargeable battery, the device facilitates scanning even in the absence of a reliable source of power at hand.

The maximum scan time of the device is approximately 60 minutes and the charge time is about 90 minutes. Recommended exam time for the Clarius PA HD scanner is 20 minutes.

The scanner has two programmable buttons and can scan continuously for up to 45 minutes. A liquid cooling system is in the scanner to prevent overheating.

Clarius Ultrasound App 7.3.0 free app offers a clear view of patient problems and enables physicians to access high-definition imaging using most iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

The app also allows one-click remote consultations with expert colleagues through telemedicine called Clarius Live on iOS and Android devices while performing an ultrasound scan.

Live scanning can be shared with others via SMS or email sent from or within the app to connect to the recipient. The recipient is notified with a secure link that will start the session immediately.
